THE BESPOKE PROCESS
Commissioning a bespoke piece of jewellery is a personal and exciting journey, a chance to create a jewel that is uniquely yours.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging a desire for something one of a kind, this personalised approach guarantees a piece that is not just beautiful, but also deeply meaningful.
“Commissioning two pieces from Michael was a great experience. From the proposed designs, and choosing the stones, to the finished pieces that my wife loved. A seamless and most personal service, which I highly recommend.” - Private Client
It begins with an initial meeting at Michael's studio mews in Islington, or privately at your home, to talk about your taste and the vision for your piece. This is then translated into a series of hand-drawn sketches for you to choose from.
With the final design agreed, the relevant gemstones are then sourced from the global market. From there, the commission is entrusted to skilled goldsmiths who bring the creation to life in precious metal at the bench.
Michael expertly guides you, with progress documented and shared at each stage, keeping you involved throughout the journey and ensuring peace of mind and an enjoyable experience.
Incorporating a family heirloom stone into a piece is also welcome, along with additional stones to embellish.

The final piece is hallmarked in London and presented in a handmade Italian fine-leather box.
If you are considering commissioning a piece of jewellery, Michael would be pleased to discuss your ideas.
